Object of research: the pregnant with fetal-placental dysfunction in various terms of gestation, newborns with signs of morpho-functional immaturity. Objectives of research: to improve the approaches to diagnostic and treatment of various forms of fetal-placental dysfunction by means of studying pathogenetic aspects of placental dysfunction, morpho-functional changes in the placental complex and maternal organism, biochemical findings, reproductive hormones and proteins of the gestational zone, as well as infants with signs of morpho-functional immaturity at birth by means of improvement of therapeutic-diagnostic complex including the results of biochemical blood spectrum, free radical oxidation and antioxidant defense body systems. Methods of research and devises: Methods: clinical examination of the pregnant and newborns, clinical, statistical, biochemical, immunologic, immune-enzymatic, morphological, functional. Devises: Spectrophotometer SP-46,photoelectrocalorimeter CPC-3, immune-enzymatic analyzer "Humareader", microscope LUMAM-8, microtome MC-2, thermostat for paraffin mending TS-80M2, automat for histological conduction AT-4, spectrophotometer 96-canal "Comp-01" for IPA-analysis, centrifuge OPN-3, USD apparatus AU4 IDEA. Theoretical and practical results: the research presents new data concerning the main periods in pathogenesis of placental dysfunction on the basis morpho-functional changes in the placental complex and maternal organism, biochemical findings, reproductive hormones and proteins of the gestational zone, approaches to diagnostics and treatment of its various forms are improved. Clinical-paraclinical peculiarities of infant adaptation born with "preterm gestational age" are studied; on their basis new methods of diagnostics and treatment of pathological conditions of early neonatal period are introduced into practice. Scientific research has got new data concerning the main periods in pathogenesis of placental dysfunction on the basis of morpho-functional changes in the placental complex and maternal organism, biochemical findings, reproductive hormones and proteins of the gestational zone, detected morphological and immunohistochemical peculiarities of the placenta, and improved approaches to diagnostics and treatment its various forms. Clinical-paraclinical peculiarities of infant adaptation according to the signs of incompatibility to gestational age have been examined enabling to elaborate and introduce into practice new modern methods of diagnostics and treatment of infants with perinatal pathology into public health care system. The most important results of the research, their theoretical and practical use are: improved approaches to diagnostics and treatment of fetal-placental dysfunction on the basis of detection of the risk factors, clinical signs and differential-diagnostic criteria of its various forms due to the gestational age, pathogenetic morpho-functional changes in the placental complex and maternal organism on the basis of biochemical findings, proteins and hormones of pregnancy. A separate unit of research is improvement of medical aid given to infants born with "preterm gestational age" due to antenatal unfavourable conditions, detected on the basis of the results of complex examination of newborns including biochemical blood spectrum, free radical oxidation and antioxidant defense systems. Efficacy of introducing into practice. By the results of the research 5 methods of diagnostics, 11 methods of treatment and 4 preventive methods have been introduced. 201 acts of its introduction are received.
