There were 34 patients with MM and 39 patients with CML on the different stages of treatment and during remission. The level of vasсular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and beta-2 mikroglobulin and were estimated. RT-PCR for oncogene bcr/abl was performed and its mutational status was investigated in some patients. CML patinets were treated using modern protocols with imatinib mesylate or nilotinib. Patients with multiply myeloma received treatment regimens, which included talidomide and the protesome inhibitor bortezomib, both either monotherapy or combined therapy. The efficiency of the selected treatment protocols was analysed for patients with CML and MM, expedience of the use of certain combinations of medications. Principles of prognostication of these diseases were worked out, in particular, the role of VEGF as an independent factor for estimation of the neoplastic process course. Research results are introduced in the practice of some hematological clinics.
