Research results: new methods of reversibility investigation for continuous and discrete systems were proposed, the concept of generalised reversibility of finite automata was introduced, main properties of linear and non-linear automata over residue rings were investigated. The results obtained were used to develop ciphers based on reversible dynamic systems. The complexity of fault verification of controlled permutations blocks was investigated.
