The analysis of the energy potential of using wood, solid waste and agricultural waste as fuel. Investigated the state of water in the peat, annual shoots of poplar, willow and alder drying, wood sawdust pine and oak, cardboard, newsprint, luzzi buckwheat made by DSC. It is shown that in the process of drying fractional composition of water is redistributed toward the bound water, but the specific content of bound water in the presence of free water decreases throughout the drying process, reaching a limiting value of humidity. For the first time shown that the specific content of bound water in fresh wood exceeds the maximum hygroscopicity and depends on the humidity of the material. Investigation of sorption isotherms showed that the highest adsorption capacity is added to the peat and peat mixtures of fillers with lower adsorption characteristics reduce water-retaining capacity of composite pellets.
