The specialist's professional activity is the factor that determines the content of students' education and training in Ukraine's higher education. Due to Ukraine's integration into the European system of higher education the problem of creating a model of professional specialist is receiving more attention. For university professors it is necessary to build a model of the future specialist in order to succeed in teaching students as well as designing and organizing student education. Student learning ensures student training forming necessary professional qualifications and competence. The model of specialist's professional activity explains the structure of the career. Therefore, the essence of the research was to build the model of professional activities of the future specialist. The paper presents the theoretical principles for constructing a model of the future specialist professional activity which allows improving graduates' training in Ukraine's universities. It also shows results of the holistic study of various approaches to building a model of professional activities of the future specialists. It comprises the analysis of the experience in student training (branch preparation 0101 Teacher Education). The paper contains main ways of constructing a model of professional specialist, its properties and the results of a pilot experimental work. The presented study aims at introducing the proposed model of the future specialist training as a prerequisite for improving the educational process in higher educational establishments of Ukraine.
