The technological unit is developed for the experimental prototype of the equipment for spark-plasma sintering, thus consisting of the chamber in which the powder is mechanically stressed in a matrix connected to a vacuum system and a cooling system for the electrodes of the current generator. Elements of the power supply system of the technological unit are developed, including the circuit design of a multiphase transformation of the electric power and the monitoring and control system of the experimental prototype of the equipment. The monitoring and control system of the spark-plasma sintering is based on use of the digital monitoring system and analogue control system. The monitoring system is based on the 8-bit microcontroller and enables operation of the equipment for spark-plasma sintering both in a manual mode (change a regime during sintering) and in an automatic mode by preset program of the technological process. Also the developed equipment has an option by sensors to digitize and transfer to the personal computer the data on current and voltage in a sintered sample and temperature on its surfaces. This function allows analyzing the basic characteristics of the sintering after completion of sintering and to render recommendations on consolidation of different powdered materials.
