The work purpose is creation of the multiparametric, highly sensitive, selective, flexible (the parameters of which easily adapt oneself for the terms of concrete feeder with his typical office hours) systems of feeder defence of 3,3 kV direct currents. Research methods are mathematical, electrical engineering, informative. In the process of researches of electric traction direct current system in the conditions of DP "Prydneprovskaya railway" basic conformities to the law and functional dependences of change of electric sizes which describe the electromagnetic phenomena in the unstationary terms of work of the examined system were certain: short circuit in a network without the hauling loading; short circuit in a network with loading. On results the mathematical design a new method of choice of setting fast-acting switches of hauling substations was developed, and also a new system of multiparametric defence of direct current hauling substations is developed. Microprocessor technologies and modern level of theoretical knowledges, which is based on the results of mathematical design and accumulated experience of exploitation of the systems hauling direct current electricpower supply, became basis of such system.
