A sample of the transistor converter "ВЧИ-40" with output power of 40 kW and frequency of 10 kHz for metals' induction melting is worked out and manufactured. The converter exhibits high efficiency, caused by using of current's frequency control and PLL system. It permitted to provide necessary technological regimes under wide - band load changing.
