Goal: to investigate aetiology and occurrence of back pain among teachers, students and scientists. Methods: questioning, statistical analysis. Results: 396 teachers, scientists students were questioned. There is determined that 73,2% of teachers, 57,1% of scientists and 57,5% of students complain of a transitory back pain. Women complain of back pain reliably more often, than men. Correlations between back pain manifestation frequency and age, nature of work and sleep were found. Marked differences in pain manifestation in persons working in the sitting or standing position or in active way were not found. There is statistically grounded that stressfull lifestyle can results at least 3 variants of transitory back pain manifestation.
