The aim of research - to examine the adsorption properties of carbon sorbents regarding to organic pollutants and determine the possibilities of their use for surface water treatment. Research methods. The main experimental research method was spectrophotometric method. Isotherms of adsorption of organic substances on carbon sorbents prepared according to standard methods. The adsorption properties of carbon sorbents relatively simple organic compounds type n - nitroaniline and non-ionic and cationic surface - active substances from the adsorption of water solutions are studied. The author gives a comparative description of the adsorption properties of the studied sorbents. Use area includes the chemical in-dustry, the agro-industrial enterprises, NRI NAN and NAAN of Ukraine. The effect of temperature on the adsorption of surfactants on carbon sorbents - activated carbon and acetylene black. The thermodynamic characteristics of micellization and adsorption. Found that the effect of temperature on the adsorption of surfactants on carbon sorbents depends on the solution concentration and the pore structure of the sorbent.
