Application of floating zone techniques of non-sintered porous bodies with impurity solvent allows to optimize and simplify the process of obtaining of directionally solidified eutectic alloys based on refractory compounds. Using this technique the fibers of transitional metal borides with diameter of 100-200 nm are synthesized. The main directions for future work were formulated.
