Object of research - goods of foreign economic activity. The purpose of the work is to develop Methodological Recommendations on the definition of the relevant characteristics of the goods in accordance with the Ukrainian Classifier of Goods for Foreign Economic Activity (UKTZED) during conducting forensic examination examinations. Methods of research and equipment - in the development of methodological recommendations a set of research methods of modern theory of cognition is used: general scientific, separate, special methods, the functions of which are performed by expert research methods, using computer tools and related programs. Theoretical and practical results: the expert practice on the definition of the relevant characteristics of goods according to UKTZED is analyzed; the legislation on the procedure for determining the code of goods according to the requirements of UKTZED is analyzed; the structure of the construction of the KTZED has been determined; the algorithm of the application of the rules for the classification of goods classification according to UKTZED has been updated during the conduct of forensic examinations ; the criteria and characteristics of the characteristics of goods (according to separate product groups) were determined according to the UTEC. Novelty - for the first time developed Methodological recommendations for determining the relevant characteristics of goods in accordance with UKTZED in conducting forensic examination. At the present stage, expert practice does not fully meet the needs of the judicial and investigative bodies in solving this problematic issue. The effectiveness of the implementation - the results of the research work permit to significantly expand the possibilities of conducting forensic examinations to determine the relevant characteristics of goods, according to UKTZED. The field of use - the results of research work can be used in expert practice when carrying out commodity expertise in determining the relevant characteristics of goods according to UKTZED.
