The dynamics of geomagnetic variations, their connection with changes of global temperature, and the comparison of observation data of polar geomagnetic observatories and meteorological stations in high and medium latitudes of both hemispheres by constructed maps and graphs of these parameters were performed. The chain of cause-effect sequences of the magnetic field of the Earth, galactic cosmic rays, ozone variations and the amount of water vapor in the upper troposphere / lower stratosphere, which eventually leads to changes in the radiation balance of our planet and, as a consequence, to changes in surface temperature and climate based on the calculated coefficients of correlation and maps and graphs of their spatial distribution and individual parameters. The model of the mechanism, which explains the influence of the geomagnetic field on the climate through processes on the tropopause, is proposed. With the help of the proposed model, we were able to explain one of the paradoxes of the modern climate - simultaneous warming in the west and lowering the temperature in the east and in the center of the Antarctic, as well as areas of elevated and lowered temperatures in the polar and middle latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere.
