Three types of luminescence have been found: subnanosecond base-valent, exciton microsecond and fast nanosecond lumnescence of Ce ions. The introduction of Mg and O impurities into Li:BaF allows to considerably increase the efficiency of thermoluminescence which is perspective for TL-dosimetry.
