Head Makarovs'kyj I.L.., Registration Date 22-06-1999 Organization Ukrainian Scientific Research and Disign Institute for Industrial Technology popup.description2 While implementing the work the design plans and specifications, as well as instruction manuals have been developed and drawn up for collector-container to be used for collecting and handling 2-nd group solid radioactive wastes, which ensures decrease of ionizing irradiation dose rate untill 10 mbar/hour at 1m distance from its surface at the expence of existence of bioshield as a lead filler inside both can's case and lid. Sphere shape of the collector-container optimizes its mass, which is regulated by relevant standars and is considered when manual handling a freight. Existence of auxillliary means (hand-barrows and trolleys) contributes to decreasing the physical labour expenditures of personnel and keeps indirectly the personnel at safe distance from ionizing irradiation sources. There was no similar design in Ukraine untill now. The acceptance-and-delivery test procedure and program have been drawn up and approved. However, due to lack of financing the following works the experimental specimen of the collectorr-container was not manufactured, tested and certificated.
