The investigations were being carried out with the help of the technical means of communication facilities, personal computers type 5x86-100, 486Dx2-66, combined in the local net, system software FoxPro 2.5, Windows 3.1, AMI Pro 3.0, Word 6.0. In the process of completing those works the following have been made: - elaboration of the technology of data saving and processing, development of blank forms for input and output documents, algorythms of the information analysis, program products for formation of data bases, processing and forming indicators; - investigation of the state of scientific activity for 365 organizations on 130 indicators in such items as: scientific and applied results of scientific activity, international cooperation, volumes of scientific & research, technological and pilot production works, sources of their financing, structure of scienti fic personnel (the total number of employees, scientific qualification, age structure). Information analytical reports were aggregated on organizations, conditional regions of Ukraine, managerial bodies and departments of MIPU.
