The presence of fines causes compaction of adsorbent layer and growth of aerodynamic resistance of carbon adsorbents. The presence of oil causes compaction of carbon. Increased ash content in spent carbon is indicative of accumulation of dust in carbon which deteriorates aerodynamic resistance of carbon layer and poor efficiency of aerosol filters. An improved atomic power plant ventilation air purification system has been propoced in which contains: a crude filter for removal of large grain dust and ool, a fine aerosol filter, a zeolite adsorber to adsorb active chemical impurities in the air and steam-water mixture, an improved iodine filter.
