Object: genome of peripheral blood lymphocytes in Chernobyl clean-up workers (liquidators). Aim (objectives): To enhance the efficacy of radiationally exposed persons dispensing by the development of unificated system of genome radiation damage assessment for late somatic and stochastic radiation effects prediction. Methods and equipment: cytogenetic analysis of peripheral blood lymphocytesd culture; common statistics; light microscopes Biolam-I, MBI-6. Results: The cytogenetic effects dynamics in liquidators depending on radiation dose and exposure duration have been studied. The possibilities of retrospective extrapolative biological dosimetry in Chernobyl victims were tested. The methodical aspects of cytogenetic dosimetry in different irradiation conditions were discussed. Using the empirical aberrant cells elimination models, the optimal terms for direct biodosimetry and the possible time of cytogenetic indeces normalisation in liquidators were calculated, as well as the critical period estimati on for effective using of unstable chromosome aberrations analysis in biodosimery was made. Application fields: Radiobiology, Medicine, Radiation medicine. Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2020-04-03 Close
