Вивчено особливості біології цвітіння, плодоношення й насіннєвої продуктивності рослин в умовах культури. Опрацьовано способи насіннєвого та вегетативного розмноження, встановлено їх оптимальні строки. Досліджено ритми сезонного розвитку видів роду. Виділено особливо перспективні для інтродукції види.
