Виявлено чинники впливу на відбір виучуваних мов, показано існуючі моделі багатомовної освіти, характерні для країн Європи. Визначено основні педагогічні теорії опанування кількох мов, з'ясовано принципи багатомовної освіти та особливості нового дидактичного підходу, характерного для сучасного періоду існування багатомовної освіти. Досліджено трансформації у структурі та змісті багатомовної освіти та технології розвитку багатомовності західноєвропейських школярів.
