Вивченню ускладнень після хірургічного лікування ДГП присвячено багато робіт в нашій країні та за її межами. У практичній роботі більшості урологів України найбільш поширеним видом лікування ДГП є виконання відкритої (черезміхурової та позадулонної) простатектомії. Проте поряд із збільшенням складності оперативних втручань постійно зростають вимоги до якості їх виконання, тому що від неї залежить кінцевий результат хірургічного лікування хворих. Some technical difficulties in enucleation of hyperplastic knots and more complicated post-surgical period were observed in 33,3% of cases in the group of the transvesical prostatectomy patients and 36,4% in the group of the retropubic prostatectomy patients. The sexual activity of the representatives of both groups had been lost after prostatectomy. The further observation proved that the post-surgical complications occurred more often in the transvesical prostatectomy patients comparatively with the retropubic prostatectomy group. The development of the erectile dysfunction was more frequent in the cases of the retropubic prostatectomy patients who experienced the urinary exudation through the post-surgical wound. There was introduced a new method of putting in stitches on the capsule of prostate what made possible to reduce the risk of appearance of urinary fistulas after the retropubic prostatectomy.
