Realizing in the semantic category of alienation, this opposition is expressed by lexical-semantic, morphological and stylistic linguistic means. Performing the attributive-discredited function, the category of alienation is expressed by means of the indefinite article in English and the indefinite pronouns, plural forms of nouns in Ukrainian. The meanings of indifferent vagueness, attributive discrediting as long as indifferent generalization of the above mentioned linguistic means are registered in entries neither of frequently used English, Ukrainian thesauruses, nor bilingual dictionaries. The analysis of the corresponded dictionary entries are suggested in the paper.
