The environmental situation today is characterized as great air pollution, pollution of rivers, seas and soil. The redaction of main natural resources such as water, air, soil and increasing of ecological problems must be a warning signal to mankind about the future of it. The analysis of sources of environmental pollution in military units locations show that the main installations which pollute air are boiler – houses, technical equipment and weapons, transport, autoparks, communication, fuel bases, heaps of rubbish and so on. All commanding structures and headquarters had to pay great attention to this problem and must be responsible for the safety of our environmental. Environmental protection needs better financial support and logistic support because without it ecology on military installations can be worse and even lead to crisis. The article written by Trifimenko P.Ye. and assistant professor Gamanets I.M. ( Military institute of Rocket Troop and Arty of Sumy State University) considers the problems mentioned above in detail and it is directed to the successful fulfilling the tasks which deal with environmental protection in the regions where military units are located.
