Krivoguz, M.D. Chemich The facts given in the article, notify about large meaning of chronic viral hepatitis in practical medicine in relationship with their significant prevalence, high level of disease in different age groups, frequent complications in the manner of developments of the cirrhosis, hepatocellular carcinoma. In pathogenesis of chronic viral hepatitis main importance have breaches of immune system. Ozone therapy enables actively to modulate the immune system, influence upon level of cyto-kines. In addition use of ozone solutions has a row positive effect, as follows antiviral, antihypoxic, deintoxication action. Дані, викладені в статті, свідчать про важливе значення хронічних вірусних гепатитів в практичній медицині у зв`язку з їх значною поширеністю, високою захворюваністю у різних вікових групах, частими ускладненнями, розвитком цирозу печінки, гепатоцелюлярного раку. Висвітлено провідну роль порушень імунної системи в патогенезі хронічних вірусних гепатитів, активний модулюючий вплив озонотерапії на імунну систему через рівень цитокінів. Використання озонованих розчинів спричинює противірусний, антигіпоксичний, дезінтоксикаційний вплив.
