Наявна евристична цінність когнітивної моделі метамовної комунікації у транслятології з ментальною, лінгвосеміотичною та лінгвістичною операціями, у процесі яких виявляється специфічне бачення світу, характерне для мови оригіналу та трансляту. Системно подається перелік функцій мов, які, на нашу думку, у значній мірі збігаються з функціями перекладача, що створює підгрунтя для нових лінгвістичних моделей. The euristic value of cognitive model of metalinguistic communication is given. Translatology is viewed as mental, linguosemiotic and linguistic operations, through which the specific vision of the world typical of both the source and target languages is revealed. The models are searched in Ukrainian and foreign classical poetry, the main attention is paid to different stereotypes of world perception in Ukrainian-French mentalities. Enumeration of language functions is shown systematically.
