The result of the reform process has been mixed and goes a long way to confirm the views of some scholars that the effect of trade policy reform is country specific and should not be applied as one formula fits all. Despite the liberalization of the financial market, SMEs problem of access to finance still persists and the cost of access has further compounded the situation due to high interest rates. In line with the liberalization policy, the Nigerian government removed all forms of protection for SMEs in sourcing foreign exchange for raw material imports. The question now is how can SMEs compete favorably with Multinational Companies (MNCs) in a liberalized economy considering the odds against them. Швидке економічне зростання в Нігерії пов’язують з упровадженням економічних реформ, а саме, політики лібералізації 1987 року. Але наслідки цих реформ суперечливі та співзвучні з результатами деяких досліджень: вплив реформ торгівельної політики є специфічним для кожної країни, і його не можна вважати універсальною формулою на всі випадки життя. Незважаючи на лібералізацію фінансового ринку, проблема малих та середніх підприємств (МСП) полягає в обмеженому та ускладненому фінансовому доступі через високі вхідні відсоткові ставки. Згідно з політикою лібералізації, нігерійський уряд скасував для МСП усі форми протекції стосовно забезпечення іноземною валютою на імпортування сировини. Постає наступне питання: яким чином малі та середні підприємства можуть конкурувати з багатонаціональними корпораціями в умовах лібералізованої економічної системи, зважаючи на невигідне становище перших. popup.nrat_date 2025-05-12 Close
