HIV–induced immunodepression considerably increases risk of opportunistic diseases. Significant contribution to AIDS progress is made by cytokines imbalance conditioned by Th1–dominant cytokine profile shift to Th2–dominant one. Studied changes in immunological parameters after the administration of highly active antiretroviral therapy. Дані, викладені у статті, свідчать про важливе значення імунопатогенезу ВІЛ–інфекції в практичній медицині. ВІЛ–індукована імуносупресія лежить в основі прояву опортуністичних інфекцій. Велику роль у прогресуванні хвороби відіграє дисбаланс цитокінів, обумовлений переключенням Т1–домінантного профілю цитокінів на Т2–домінантний. Вивчено зміни імунологічних показників на фоні високоактивної антиретровірусної терапії.
