Думка про текстову природу оніма доводиться на основі вивчення елементів англійської антропонімічної системи. Детально розглядається мовна репрезентація концепту «Людина» у семантиці апелятивів англійських особових імен германського походження. Дуалізм екзистенційної сутності «людини» ілюструється через аналіз позначень біологічних та соціальних характеристик індивіда, наявних у структурі розглянутих мовних одиниць. Зазначений фрагмент ономасіологічного простору англосаксонських імен пояснюється у контексті загальних світоглядних засад міфопоетичної свідомості. The article focuses on the problem of ontological status of a proper name, the latter being treated as a condensed etnic-cultural text. The basis for considering text nature of onyms is illustrated by means of interpreting examples of English personal names of Germanic origin. Language representation of the concept of “Man” in the semantics of their appellatives is under study. Dualism of the existential nature of a “Man” is considered through detailed analysis of language nominations of individual’s biological and social characteristics. Linguistic and cultural potential encoded in the fragment of ancient Anglo-Saxons’ anthroponymic system is analyzed with respect to basic conceptual grounds of mythopoetic conscience. popup.nrat_date 2025-05-12 Close
