The monograph is devoted to the study of the theory and experience of spiritual and moral education of children in the domestic school of the XX - early XXI century. On the basis of archival sources, documentary and practical pedagogical materials the preconditions of origin of the Ukrainian school, conceptual approaches to the organization of spiritual and moral education of children are analyzed. The leading tendencies and features of development of spiritual and moral education of children in domestic school in the conditions of a democratic society are considered.
