SEM and XRD investigations revealed a compact homogeneous layer of amorphous nanoaggregates (70-100 nm) formed by iron hydroxide on the fibers‟ surface. The synthesized nanocomposite fibers were stable in the aggressive medium for a long time and exhibited good adsorption properties for uranyl ions.
