Different types of exchange rate regimes and currency regulation in Central and Eastern Europe were stressed by rapid changes in financial markets. Ukrainian currency lost its purchasing power in both crises (1997-1998 & 2007-2008) despite the efforts of the National bank of Ukraine and the Government. This paper analyses in details all steps which aimed to stabilize the national currency and proposes improvements in macroeconomic policy and legislative acts. Ця стаття розглядає характер і наслідки фінансових криз для національної валюти. Різні типи режимів обмінних курсів та валютного регулювання в Центральній і Східній Європі зазнали швидких змін на фінансових ринках. Українська валюта втратила свою купівельну спроможність в обох кризах (1997-1998 і 2007-2008), незважаючи на зусилля Національного банку України та уряду. У даній статті аналізується в деталях всі кроки, які спрямовані на стабілізацію національної валюти і сформульовані пропозиції щодо вдосконалення макроекономічної політики та законодавчих актів. popup.nrat_date 2025-05-12 Close
