Зроблено спробу проаналізувати роман “Орлова балка”, який є переломним у творчому доробку письменника, з позиції боротьби автора з вимогами соцреалізму. Досліджено актуальні проблеми, порушені автором у творі, що були заборонені для обговоренняна час написання роману The article reveals the formation and change of M. Rudenko's worldview as a citizen and writer in a totalitarian environment, the struggle of the author's worldview with the dominant method of socialist realism in the society of that time. An attempt is made to analyze the novel "Eagle's Beam", which is a turning point in the creative work of the writer, from the standpoint of the author's struggle with the demands of socialist realism.
