Hybrid template system was made from ionic surfactant (cetyltrimethylammonium bromide or decyltrimethylammonium bromide) and supramolecular porogen β-cyclodextrin. Tetraethylorthosilicate or its blend with 3-(chloropropyl)triethoxysilane were used as matrix precursors. Synthesized silicas were characterized by IR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction techniques as well as transmission electron microscopy.
