The Orthodox Church under the Kyiv Patriarchate, which actively supported the EuroMaidan, emerged from the revolution with a strong moral ascendancy and enhanced its own reputation in the society. For the Moscow Patriarchate, these events turned out to be somewhat of a disaster.
