The European Central Bank started to take additional tasks in the banking supervision. Thus, there arise conflicts of interest with its role in monetary policy. The Central Bank's activities should be controlled, that may lead to the loss of its independence. У відповідь на негативний вплив фінансової кризи на стабільність банківського сектора в Європі відбулися зміни в архітектурі банківського нагляду. Європейський центральний банк почав виконувати додаткові функції в сфері банківського нагляду. На підставі цього виникає конфлікт в сфері проведення монетарної політики.
