Від античної доби й до сьогоднішніх днів значною проблемою політики в Європі є проблема контролю за особами та групами осіб, які ставлять власні інтереси вище за інтереси держави і суспільства в цілому. З появою такої соціальної групи, як чиновництво, корупція набула масштабного розмаху. Її міра та відвертість визначалися повнотою надання чиновництву влади над населенням та рівнем загального культурно- цивілізаційного розвитку самого суспільства. У даній статті висвітлюються актуальні питання пов’язані з корупцією, а саме, розкрито поняття корупції, встановлені рекомендаційні шляхи та методи її подолання, визначено повноваження органів, покликаних для боротьби з корупцією. Також розкрито основні закономірності появи корупційних правопорушень, їх негативний вплив як на державу так і на суспільство вцілому, а саме найголовніше, запропоновано основні методи боротьби з корупцією що направлені на захист економічних інтересів країни. Розглянуто проблеми та перспективи подолання корупції в органах місцевого самоврядування. Corruption is a social phenomenon, which originates in the distant past. From ancient times to the present day a significant policy challenge in Europe is the issue of monitoring individuals and groups of individuals who put their own interests above the interests of the state and society as a whole. With the advent of such social groups as the bureaucracy, corruption has acquired a massive scale. Its measure and frankness were determined the fullness of the giving officials power over the population and the General level of cultural and civilizational development of the society. Corruption as a legal phenomenon is defined as an integrated complex concept, which covers a set of interrelated offenses, criminal law administrative, legal and disciplinary. This article is devoted to the topical issues related to corruption, namely, the concept of corruption, established a recommendation of the ways and methods of its overcoming, define the powers of institutions designed to combat corruption. Also revealed the main regularities of the appearance of corruption, its negative impact on the state and on society as a whole, and most importantly, the methods of fighting corruption to protect the economic interests of the country.
