Посібник містить розділи про державний устрій, пресу, молодь та її життя, культуру Іспанії та іспаномовних країн Латинської Америки (музику, танці, кіно, театр, живопис, свята, традиції і звичаї). Зміст посібника мотивує учнів до вивчення іспанської мови, сприяє розвитку навчальних, комунікативних навичок і вмінь. Курс навчає читати, розуміти, аналізувати і використовувати отриману інформацію як у класі, так і в повсякденному житті, одночасно удосконалює мовні навички і мовленнєві уміння в усній та письмовій формах. Учні навчаються формулювати, висловлювати та обґрунтовувати свою думку з пропонованої тематики, вести дискусію, писати короткі есе, листи, статті, створювати проекти іспанською мовою. Пропоновані вправи і завдання спрямовані на навчання працювати в колективі, раціонально розподіляти ролі, порівнювати інформацію та робити аргументовані висновки. Посібник адресовано учням старших класів профільної школи, учителям іспанської мови, методистам з іноземних мов ІППО, студентам мовних факультетів вищих педагогічних навчальних закладів. The textbook for the elective course "Country Studies: Spain, Latin America" for students of the 10th and 11th grades has an informational and educational character, it provides information on contemporary Spain and Latin America. The manual contains sections on the state system, the press, young people and their lives, the culture of Spain and the Hispanic countries of Latin America (music, dance, cinema, theater, paintings, holidays, traditions and customs). The content of the manual motivates students to learn Spanish, promotes the development of educational, communicative skills and capabilities. The course teaches to read, understand, analyze and use the information received both in class and in everyday life, simultaneously improves communicative skills in oral and written forms. Students learn to formulate, express and motivate their opinions on the proposed topics, hold discussions, write short essays, letters, articles, and create projects in Spanish. The proposed exercises and tasks are aimed at learning to work in a team, to rationally distribute roles, to compare information and to make reasoned conclusions.
