On the basis of unknown and little-known documents the article treats the fighting activity of the Ukrainian insurgents in the Carpathian Area of the OUN (Karpatskyi krai) during 1945-1954. The process of Sovietization in Drohobych region was implemented by the command-administrative methods traditional for Stalin’s totalitarianism and completely ignoring socioeconomic and spiritually-cultural features of the region. Certainly, such situation caused national resistance. Representatives of all levels of population took part in the struggle against the establishment of Stalin’s regime. It is shown, that beside the UPA’s departments, the armed actions in Karpatskyi krai were carried out by self-defensive sectional departments (SDSD), SA fighting centres and gendarmeries, and by guarding departments. Repeatedly they united for carrying out of common actions. Fighting problems were also carried out by guarding departments, fighting units of SA and administrative fighting centres. It is proved, that the nationalists in Karpatskyi krai of the OUN, although having suffered in 1945-1947 considerable losses, continued to combat actively. It became one of effective remedies which interfered fast Sovietization of Western Ukraine. Principal types and tasks of fighting attacks are singled out in the article. All armed actions of the underground in Karpatskyi krai of the OUN are divided into the following groups: attacks on the connection ways; armed actions directed against economic military and regime objects; actions purposing the destruction of the Soviet administrative constructions; liquidation of workers of the party and retaliatory apparatus, intelligence agency, activists etc. На основі невідомих і маловідомих документі в у статті висвітлюється бойова діяльність українських повстанців у Карпатському краї ОУН (1945-1954).
