Мистецтво модерної доби постає перед необхідністю, в зв’язку із радикальним запереченням традиції, провести феноменологічну редукцію умов власного існування. Рефлексія митців щодо поняття форми та її ролі у художньому процесі призводить до утворення “мета живопису” як спроби пояснення технології художнього процесу засобами художнього дискурсу. Така необхідність виникає внаслідок туги за втраченим трансцендентним. The article is devoted to the analysis of the concept of form in philosophical and artistic discourses. The art of the modern era appears to be necessary, in connection with the radical rejection of tradition, to carry out the phenomenological reduction of the conditions of its own existence. Reflection of artists in relation to the form and its role in the artistic process leads to the formation of “meta-painting” as an attempt to explain the technology of the artistic process by means of artistic discourse.
