The manual considers theoretical and practical research of the problem of methods of teaching the syntax of the Ukrainian language to students of 8-9 grades on the basis of personality-oriented, activity and competence approaches. Considerable attention is paid to the characteristics of methods, techniques, forms and means of teaching the syntax of the Ukrainian language to students of 8-9 grades. Special attention is paid to text work in Ukrainian language lessons in the conditions of competence approach.
