Увагу акцентовано на тому, що професійна підготовка бібліотечного фахівця в сучасному інформатизованому суспільстві є безперервним, цілісним і багатоаспектним процесом, що передбачає розвиток і вдосконалення здібностей, оволодіння необхідними знаннями, технологіями та функціями бібліотечного менеджменту. На основі спостережень запропоновано нові підходи у сфері вдосконалення механізмів підготовки бібліотечних фахівців. The article considers and analyzes the problem of shortage of skilled personnel in public libraries in the conditions of the establishment of e-governance in Ukraine, highlights professional values and requirements for a modern librarian. The emphasis is placed on the fact that the professional training of a library specialist in the modern informatized society is a continuous, coherent and multidisciplinary process that involves the development and improvement of abilities, the acquisition of the necessary knowledge, technologies and functions of library management.
