Розвиток електронних бібліотек у країнах Скандинавії припадає на середину 90-х рр. ХХ ст. Вони є прикладом розвитку сервісної інфраструктури обслуговування населення національними та світовими електронними інформаційними ресурсами. Бібліотеки країн Скандинавії є передовими за технологічним та організаційним рівнем. The article gives a thorough description of the emergence and development of electronic libraries in Scandinavia (on materials from Norway, Finland, Denmarkand Sweden), in particular, the development of the electronic library of the National Library of Norway, FinElib, the Finnish Virtual Library (FVL), the Danish Electronic Research Library, OpenAccess.se program. The development of electronic libraries in the Scandinavian countries dates back to the mid-90s of the twentieth century. They are an example of the development of the infrastructure of public service by means of national and world electronic information resources.
