The dissertation is devoted to the conceptualization of the inclusion of things in symbolic violence processes. The relevance of the presented topic lies, on the one hand, in the limited heuristic potential of the classical dichotomy of "materialism-idealism" and "physical and symbolic" to study the processes of symbolic violence. On the other hand, in today's Ukraine there is an escalation of various (physical, symbolic, structural, etc.) violence in the struggle for political, economic, ideological power. Symbolic struggle and symbolic violence are another "front" of confrontation, factors and means of transferring the collision of forces from the phase of direct physical interaction into the phase of discursive interaction. First of all, the theoretical and methodological developments from the sociological reflection of the phenomenon of things are analyzed and quadrated.
