The thesis substantiates the theoretical and methodological foundations and proposes a method for solving the actual problem of education. Family values of students in grades 10–11. Clarified the essence of the concept of «family values». Criteria, indicators and levels of formation of family values of high school students are defined and justified. The level of formation of family values among students in grades 10–11 has been diagnosed. The pedagogical conditions are determined, the method of forming the family values of students of 10–11 grades by means of Ukrainian literature is substantiated and experimentally tested. У дисертації здійснено обґрунтування теоретико-методичних засад та запропоновано методику вирішення актуального завдання виховання сімейних цінностей учнів 10–11 класів. Уточнено сутність поняття «сімейні цінності». Визначено та обґрунтовано критерії, показники та рівні сформованості сімейних цінностей старшокласників. Діагностовано рівень сформованості сімейних цінностей в учнів 10–11 класів. Визначено педагогічні умови, обґрунтовано та експериментально перевірено методику формування сімейних цінностей учнів 10–11 класів засобами української літератури.
