В роботі досліджено аспекти князівської генеалогії та її вплив на процес об'єднання Русі.Авторами було класифіковано функції князівської влади як у дохристиянський, так і в християнський періоди, встановленно пріоритетність регулятивної функції в процесі державотворення та вплив прийнятя християнства на формування нових функцій держави.
