The monograph explores the theoretical and practical principles and identifies promising areas for improving the financing of higher education institutions in Ukraine. The monograph includes general calculations on indicators of higher education development in Ukraine, as well as a detailed assessment of the dynamics of budget funding and the specifics of the mechanism of financing higher education institutions. The analysis of the current state and trends in the development of the mechanism of financing higher education institutions made it possible to identify problematic aspects and threats to its further development, taking into account the experience gained. There are also ways to develop a mechanism for financing higher education institutions, which allows to expand the range of sources of financial resources for the development of their economic activities, as well as to achieve greater autonomy.
