Державний кордон- це ознака, яка повинна бути притаманна будь-якій державі і без якої неможливе її існування. Сфери здійснення територіального верховенства держав визначаються за допомогою кордонів, установлених між ними. Отже, основним призначенням кордонів полягає у встановленні меж державних територій. Жодна держава не може існувати без юридично визначеної території. Protection of the state border is one of the most important functions of the state. The state border is a feature that should be inherent in any state and without which its existence is impossible. Areas of territorial sovereignty of states are determined by the boundaries established between them. Thus, the main purpose of borders is to establish the boundaries of state territories.
