Загалом обсяги операцій з легалізації кримінальних доходів оцінюються від 2 до 5 % світового ВВП (1-2 трлн. дол. США на рік). В реаліях вітчизняної фінансової системи загальний обсяг фінансових операцій, визнаних Державною службою фінансового моніторингу як ризиковані, в Україні становить від 10 до 15% ВВП. У той же час, тільки 1% світових нелегальних фінансових потоків повертаються державними органами контролю до бюджету. Ця проблема стоїть особливо гостро в умовах поточного погіршення макроекономічної ситуації та зростаючої економічної кризи, що спостерігається як у світі, так і в Україні. The process of legalization of criminal proceeds in Ukraine has reached such a scale that it can affect both the internal economic processes in the state and its international rating and image. In general, the volume of operations for the legalization of criminal income is estimated at 2 to 5% of world GDP (1-2 trillion USD per year). In the realities of the domestic financial system, the total volume of financial transactions recognized by the State Financial Monitoring Service as risky in Ukraine amounts to 10 to 15% of GDP. At the same time, only 1% of the world's illegal financial flows are returned to the budget by state control bodies.
