This article describes the analysis of smart homes and smart homes, including the difference between them, their history of occurrence, functionality and their prevalence in Ukraine. Smart homes are hard to imagine without some automation system. There are many automation systems ranging from Zigbee to KNX. It is the KNX system that will be spilled because it has strong advantages. First of all, the KNX system can be conveniently configured, the ETS software interface is user-friendly. Another advantage of the KNX system is that it is decentralized, that is, in simple words, we can say that if any of the devices fails, it will not affect the whole system. This rather solid advantage shows itself well when there are several hundred automation devices in the house and if one breaks, it will be easy to replace and it will not affect the others.
