The systems of distance learning are investigated in the work, the comparative analysis of the existing decisions is executed. The basic requirements to the knowledge assessment module and database are formed. The choice of the "clientserver" architecture is substantiated and the technologies for the implementation of the prototype are selected. The structure for the knowledge assessment module and database is defined.
